[News from News Center] The senior seminar on Key Technologies of Intelligent Manufacturing in Chinese Machinery Industry was held in Qinhuangdao, Hebei from August 7thto 11th. Sponsored by Education Development Center of Machinery Industry, National Teaching Instruction Committee of Machinery Vocational Education, and China Education Association of Machinery Industry (CEAMI), the seminar was hosted by YSU. YSU School of Continuing Education was responsible for the specific affairs. Over 100 people from equipment manufacturing companies, nationwide professional associations, and scientific research institutions in machinery industry as well as institutions of higher learning, vocational colleges, mechanic colleges, and other institutions attended the training.

On the morning of August 7th, the opening ceremony of the seminar, which is also the inauguration ceremony of Innovative Talents Training Base with Industry and Education Collaboration in Chinese Machinery Industry was held. Director of Department of Education & Training under China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) Xiaoming Chen, Deputy Mayor of Qinhuangdao Tielin Yang, YSU Vice President Yongsheng Zhao, and Director of Strategy Consulting Center of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) Jianlin Yan attended the opening ceremony. Zhikai Fang, Deputy Director of Education Development Center of Machinery Industry, hosted the ceremony. On behalf of YSU, Vice President Yongsheng Zhao extended warm welcome and sincere greetings to leaders, experts, and attendees attending the seminar. He introduced YSU and expressed his appreciation to the support provided by CMIF and Education Development Center of Machinery Industry in recent years, especially the confidence they gave to YSU by entrusting such an important program to YSU and setting the Training Base at YSU. Taking the seminar as an opportunity and the training base as a platform, YSU would prepare positively for training of talents from all kinds of industries.

On behalf of QinhuangdaoMunicipal People’s Government, Tielin Yang also extended his warm welcome to leaders, experts, and attendees attending the seminar. He believed that the seminar would play an important role in technological progress of Chinese intelligent manufacturing and would be fruitful through joint effort. He inspired the attendees to come up with precious ideas to strengthen the cooperation among local governments. He wished a complete success to the seminar.

Xiaoming Yang indicated that the significance of machinery industry to contribute to our country, the supporting role of talents in industry alteration, and the significance of establishing overall modes of talents training should be recognized and emphasized.

By organizing a special symposium, attendees visited CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd, Shugu Xiangyuan in Qinhuangdao Economic & Technological Development Zone, and State Key Laboratory of Metastable Materials Science and Technology at YSU.

On the morning of August 11th, the seminar was concluded successfully, and the graduation ceremony was held. On the ceremony, Li Sun, Dean of School of Continuing Education of YSU, gave a summary. He said, all attendees successfully accomplished the tasks with huge enthusiasm as intended. Yongjian Lin, Department Head of Guangxi Technological College of Machinery and Electricity, appreciated the elaborate design and appropriate arrangement, and said that the seminar refreshed the traditional knowledge with rich new content. Limei Zheng, Deputy Director of Education Development Center of Machinery Industry and Secretary General of National Teaching Instruction Committee of Machinery Vocational Education, addressed the ceremony. She said that the seminar was with“high positioning, high-quality content, high-level experts, high studying enthusiasm and high-standard service”and hoped that YSU would give full play to the function of the Base and strengthen the cooperation between YSU and enterprises. Thus, the Made in China 2025 would finally be achieved through joint efforts. At the end of the ceremony, leaders on the rostrum awarded Certificates of Advanced Study to attendees who have finished the tasks required.
