Recently, the Officeof ChinaNational PostdoctoralAffairsManagement Committee and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation announced the list of candidates to be funded under the 2023 "Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program" (abbreviated as "Boxin Program"). Meng Rui, a doctoralcandidatefrom the School of Electrical Engineering at Yanshan University, has been successfully selectedfor this program. She is also the only recipient of this funding in Hebei Province for this year. Dr. Meng Rui's academic advisor is Professor Hua Changchun, and she is planning to pursue her postdoctoral research at the Mechanical Engineering Postdoctoral Mobile Station, with Professor Zhao Dingxuan as her collaborating advisor.
The "Boxin Program" is a top-notch youth talent support program established by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the ChinaNational PostdoctoralAffairsManagement Committee in 2016. Its goal is to expedite the development of a group of outstanding young scientific and technological innovators who can compete at the forefront of global science and technology. It represents the highest level of talent selection within the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.In conjunction with national laboratories and other key scientific research bases,this program targets key national strategies, strategic high-tech fields, and the forefront of basic science. It selects a group of outstanding recent or newexceptionalPh.D. graduates to engage in postdoctoral research, providing each individual with an annual grant of no less than RMB300,000. The national funding period lasts for 2 years. In the current year, a total of 500 prospective awardees have been selected for the "Boxin Program", with participation from 73 universities.
