The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee jointly issued theCircular on Approving the Establishment of 510 Postdoctoral Research Mobile Stations in Philosophy and Other Disciplines at Northeast Normal University, which includes the list of lately approved postdoctoral research mobile stations in 2023. Yanshan University’s Candidate Postdoctoral Research Mobile Station in Public Administration was on the list, meaning the total number of postdoctoral research mobile stations in Yanshan University has increased to 12 and the coverage of subject categories has been further expanded.
After more than 20 years of dedicated development, the Department of Public Administration of the School of Humanities and Law of Yanshan University has set up two national first-class undergraduate majors of Administrative Management and Public Utility Administration, a first-class master's degree program in Public Administration, a professional degree of Master of Public Administration (MPA), a first-class doctoral program in Public Administration, and a postdoctoral research mobile station in Public Administration, therefore establishing a full-fledged training system for discipline talents.
Yanshan University attaches great importance to the application of the new postdoctoral research mobile stations. During this application, the Office of Human Resources worked closely with the School of Humanities and Law, organized work briefings and successfully completed the paperwork for the application, all of which helped the mobile station get the approval and also represented a major achievement of the university in the implementation of the strategy of “empowering the university through talent training”. Looking into the future, we will earnestly implement national and provincial policies related to postdoctoral research, upgrade the management and security mechanism for postdoctoral research mobile stations, effectively leverage the advantages and roles of postdoctoral research mobile stations in promoting discipline building, talent cultivation, and high-level scientific research output, and provide strong human support for the university's "Double World-Class" program.
