According to the latest data released by Clarivate Analytics' Essential Science Indicators (ESI) on May 9, 2024, the "Environment/Ecology" discipline of Yanshan University (YSU) has entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings for the first time, marking a significant milestone in YSU's discipline development. YSU now boasts five disciplines listed in the top 1% of ESI global rankings, encompassing Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Environment/Ecology.

The statistical period covered in this ESI data update spans from January 1, 2014, to February 28, 2024. With 229 ESI papers (including 16 highly cited papers and 1 hot paper) published in the field of Environment/Ecology, amassing 5,017 citations and 21.91 average citations per paper, YSU enters the top 1% of ESI global rankings.
