Long Lin, specialized in Color and Polymer Chemistry, is Professor and Head of the Color Chemistry Department at University of Leeds in the UK, the Founder and Director of Industrial Federation Data Processing Center at University of Leeds, the Founder and Director of the Color and Textile Science Centerat University of Leeds, the Editor-in-Chief ofPigment & Resin TechnologyandChina Coatings Journal, member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the British Surface Coating Technology Association,andthe Society of Dyers and Colorists. He received his bachelor's and master's degree from Zhejiang University in 1983 and 1986 and his Ph.D. in color and polymer chemistry from the University of Leeds in 1993. He was promoted Professor in Color and Polymer Chemistry at University of Leeds in the UK in 2006.
Over the years, Professor Lin has made a large number of high-level research results in the following fields: dyeing and printing of equipotential textile fabrics, treatment of toxic chemicals at dyeing workshops, lithium-ion battery, sustainable hydrogen storage, anti-counterfeiting technology, and medical diagnostic sensors. He published more than 250 academic papers, books, and internal research reports.
