YSU Successfully Held 9th Career Planning Competition

[News from News Center] At 7:00, Oct. 19^th, YSU 9^thCareer Planning Competition was successfully held at Student Activity Center, East Campus. Themed by “Transmit planning ideas to forge a better prospect, expand career development to achieve extraordinary future”, the competition aims to help students plan university study and life scientifically, improve employment skills and practical ability, and achieve high-quality employment and entrepreneurship by popularizing the knowledge of career planning, attracting many students.

13 competitors entered the final after the preliminary of every school. After heated competition, Jiali Feng from School of Information Science and Engineering (School of Software) ranked first, and Mengying Xiao from School of Arts and Design and Wan Wei from School of Economics and Management ranked second and third respectively. Teacher Yongwei Jia from School of Information Science and Engineering (School of Software) won Excellent Guide Teacher Award and School of Arts and Design won Outstanding Organization Award.

The Competition was sponsored by YSU Admissions and Career Development Services, and hosted by School of Arts and Design. Some alumni and teachers were invited as judges to give professional guidance, including: Longfei Du---Director of Qinhuangdao Graduates Career Development Office, Ying Zhan---Director of Personnel Education Department under Qinhuangdao MSA, Yanjie Guo---President Assistant ofSINOLION Investment Holdings Co., Ltd, Zhanjun Hou---Supervisor of Human Resources Department of HongQiSheng Precision Electronics (Qinhuangdao) Co., Ltd, Gangshun Zang---an associate professor of YSU Mental Health Education and Service Center. During the competition, competitors’ career planning had specific goals, clear thinking and meticulous attitude, which showed new styles of contemporary college students. Alumni representative Yanjie Guo commented on every competitor from the perspective of a senior company manager, and came up with precious opinions to YSU students for their career planning and employment.
