Student of Liren College of Yanshan University Makes Greater Success in 2018 American College Student Mathematical Modeling Contest

[News from the News Center]On April 21, the results of the 2018 American College Mathematical Contest for Modeling (MCM/ICM) were announced. The five teams selected byYSULiren Collegeachieved excellent results. They obtained two Meritorious Winner (International First Prize) awards, twoHonorable Mention (International 2nd Prize),these are the best prizesLiren Collegehad ever gained sinceparticipating in this event.

The competition included 20,602 teams and more than 60,000 college students from more than 20 countries and regions including the United States, China, Canada, Finland, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Liren College organizes students to participate independently. Under the overall arrangement of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, the Mathematics Teaching and Research Section ofLiren CollegeTeaching Department organizes teachers to instruct studentsto compete withstudentsfrominternationally renowned universities and collegessuch asHarvard University, Princeton University, MIT, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, and Fudan University.
