YSU wins award in the 2018 World Robotics Competition

[News from the News Center]Recently, the 2018 World RoboticsConferencewas held in Beijing International Exhibition Center. As an important part of the conference, the 2018 World Robot Competition was held concurrently. The graduate students led by Professor Wen Shuhuan ofYSU’sSchool of Electrical Engineering (Zhao Yongjie, Zhang Di, Hu Xueheng, Chen Jianhua) participated in the "ROS Robotic Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition" and won the second prize

The competition was hosted by the Innovative Method TeachingAdvisory Committee under the MoE, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the China Artificial Intelligence Society, and the International Robotics and Maker Education Alliance. The World Robot Competition aims to accelerate the development of the robot industry, vigorously stimulate the scientific and technological research and development potential of the robot industry, scientifically improve the development of the industry, and promote the organic combination of production, learning, research and use in the robot field.

The World Robotics Competition has been widely praised by the major mainstream media as the "Olympic World of Robotics". It has been successfully held for three times. The competition hasattractednearly 50,000 contestants,and support frommore than 200 industry experts and more than 30 international organizations. It is the largest, most professional and most international official event at home and abroad.
