[News from the News Center] Recently, theSociety of China University Journalsannounced the results of the selection of Top 100 Chinese Science and Technology Journals in 2018. The Journal of Yanshan University was re-elected as “Excellent University Sci-tech Journals in China” after 2016.
This selection aims to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping’s socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new ear. Followed this publishing orientation, the publication industry will continuously improve the innovation, influence, contribution and editorial publishing quality of university science and technology periodicals. In line with this principle, the role of university sci-tech periodicals in scientific research activities and academic exchanges would be objectively evaluated, which will be beneficial to the consistent development of sci-tech periodicals in universities.
The selection of outstanding sci-tech journals in Chinese universities mainly examines the academic influence of journals (Chinese academic journal impact factor annual report and Chinese scientific journal citation report), industry influence, international influence, communication and utilization, and journal honors. In this selection, a total of 24 “China’s Excellent Sci-tech Journals”, 120 “Chinese Colleges and Universities’ top 100 Sci-tech Journals”, 247 “China's Excellent Sci-tech Periodicals”, and 53 “Chinese College/University Quality Editorial and Publishing Sci-tech Journals” were selected.
