[News from the News Center] From December 8-9, the 9th China University Students Sunshine Sports Table Tennis Competition was held in Weifang, Shandong. This is the first time for YSU table tennis team to participate in such national sports event and won the first prize.

The competition was hosted by the China University Sports Association and hosted by Shandong Luneng Table Tennis School. Nearly 200 players from 23 colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition. YSU table tennis team led by Wang Dapeng, Dean of the School of Physical Education and coached by Zhang Xinghai and Gao Ming. The six members came from YSU School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Information Science and Engineering, the School of Science, theSchool of Humanities and Law, and the School of Physical Education. During the game, the players defeated Weifang Medical College, Renmin University of China, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, and finally won the first prize.
Through this competition, our table tennis team showed the good spirit and tenacity of Yan University. After the game, the players said that they will continue to train hard and set another goal to keep improving our university table tennis team.
