From December 4-5, the China Academic Library & Information System (CALIS) Management Center held the “From the joint construction and sharing to the integration and opening - 2018 CALIS annual meeting” – The 20th anniversary of the project was held at Peking University. In this meeting, YSU library won the Outstanding Contribution Award for the 20th Anniversary of the “China Higher Education Literature Support System” Project Construction.

On December 11, at the Ninth Member meeting, YSU library was re-elected as the standing director unit and won the advanced member units of 2014-2018. Six YSU librarians were awarded the title of outstanding member.

On December 12, the 2018 Hebei Provincial Library Society Annual Conference announced the results of the 5th Hebei Provincial Library Service Innovation Competition and the results of the awards. YSU teams led by Zhao Ourong “Services for the overseas students of the Belt and the Road” won the first prize, and the E lijun’s team “Relying on the advantages of subject librarians to carry out embedded student research support services” won the second prize.

As a information resource center of the university, the library always attaches importance to the education and scientific research. In response to national and social development needs, the university applied for the establishment of the Intellectual Property Information Center. YSU library has been contributing to our university’s education and research.
As the backbone of the development of library industry in Hebei Province, YSU Library actively participates in the joint construction project, subject services, reading and promotion, etc., which has promoted the academic research and exchanges of the library industry in the province and better served social development.
