[News from the News Center] Recently, the 18th National College Robot Competition RoboMaster 2019 Masters Finals was held in Shenzhen. The Yanying Team of YSU participated in the finals of this year, and won the national third prize of the team competition and the national special prize of the engineering robot individual competition.

The RoboMaster Masters Competition was jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the National Federation of Students, and the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, and initiated and hosted by DJI Dajiang Innovation, which is one of the largest robotic events in the world. In the five years since the competition launched, the RoboMaster Masters has become the symbol of technical honor in the minds of many top universities and young engineers.
RoboMaster has received 174 teams from more than 10 countries and regions in the 2019 season, and more than 3,000 outstanding college students participated. The participating universities include Northeastern University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and University of California San Diego. The 2019 season includes a team match and individual events for each robotic division. The team competition is a collaboration between various robots (infantry, heroes, engineering, sentinels, drones) to destroy the other’s main base and eliminate the other's vital forces. The ground and air robots independently developed and used to participate in competitive confrontation.
Yanshan University Yanying Team consists of more than 50 robotics enthusiasts from theSchool of Mechanical Engineering,School of Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering and other related majors. Since the first participation in the RoboMaster Masters competition in 2015, it has made continuous progress. In the engineering robot single event, it has successively defeated Northeastern University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Xi’an Jiaotong University and other famous universities, and was ranked as the national champion of engineering robots in single event, and won the only special award.
