[News from the News] On the morning of August 23, the National Symposium on Track and Field Theory, sponsored by the National Association of Track and Field Theory and organized by YSU, was held at Shoulv Jinglun Hotel, Qinhuangdao City. The conference was chaired by Wang Dapeng, Dean of YSU School of Physical Education, 69 academics attended the conference, including Yang Jintian, the Chairman of the National Association of Track and Field Theory, Wang Lihua, Secretary-General of the National Association of Track and Field Theory, Jiang Zhongwei, the Secretary of the Party Committee of YSU School of Physical Education among others. The attendees shared their experiences both in teaching practices and theories, and joined hands to improve the physical education.

Yang Jintian delivered a speech at the meeting. He thanked Yanshan University for its contribution to the preparation and service of the conference. He also emphasized the current situation of the development of athletics and its influence in the world sports field, which led to the exploration of the sustainable development of athletics.
During the session of keynote speech of the conference, experts Wang Dapeng and Cui Dongxue gave keynote speeches. Experts elaborated on the theme of the conference from the development of sports industry to the reform of track and field teaching, to promote talent cultivation, and exploring the track and field technology theory with science and technology. It is reported that 51 academic papers were collected at this conference.
In a hundred years, generations of YSU students have made great achievements in the competitive arena, and strive for progress constantly. Physical education is both part of education and a part of life. YSU teachers and students will keep this in mind and welcome our centenary.
