[News from the News Center] From July 27-30, August 21-25, Yanshan University Press participated in the 29th National Book Fair held in Xi’an, Shaanxi, and the 26th Beijing International Book Fair held in Beijing. YSU Press aimed to serve higher education and spread Chinese excellent culture, and exhibited a number of outstanding academic monographs and books relating to local culture, humanities and social science published in recent years, more than 100 kinds of books, which was spoke highly by the administrators.

At the two book exhibitions, Song Wenxin, the Executive Vice-minister of the Propaganda Department of the Hebei Provincial Committee, Wu Zhonghua, the Director of the Hebei Press and Publication Bureau, the Deputy Inspector of the Propaganda Department of the Hebei Provincial Committee visited the exhibition of our university, and spoke highly of our publishing performance.
At the book fair, our publications had attracted a variety of visitors, including customers, readers and peers. Our staff at marketing department exchanged views with publishing peers at home and abroad to obtain the latest publishing trends and market information. It has strengthened our confidence in relying on universities, serving universities and colleges to conduct scientific research, inheriting culture and serving local culture. On August 2, Hebei Publication reported our story entitled “Chen Yu: Highlighting the characteristics of publishing to build core competitiveness”, which introduced our press’ efforts to integrate publishing resources and books.
