[News from the News Center] The 11th Chinese-Japanese Contrastive Linguistics Seminar was successfully held at the Xi'an International Studies University from August 23-25, 2019. More than 200 experts and scholars from China, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions attended the conference and had a heated discussion on some topics in the field of contrast linguistics between China and Japan. The 11thChinese-Japanese Contrastive Linguistics Symposium was hosted by the Chinese-Japanese Contrastive Linguistics Research Society and organized by the School of Japanese Culture and Economics of Xi’an International Studies University. As a high-level academic platform in China, this academic seminar attracts many teachers and researchers in the field of Japanese linguistics research at home and abroad. It aims to improve the Chinese-Japanese language comparison research.

The seminar consisted of academic salons, sub-disciplinary symposium, doctoral forums and report symposium. More than 100 domestic and foreign experts and scholars had discussions on some hot topics related to Japanese linguistics at the conference. Liu Hongyan, Japanese language teacher Liu Hongyan won the First Prize of the Poster Paper in the seminar, which is a strong affirmation for his research.
